Wax and Beans is Bury’s only independent record store, situated in a stunning Grade II listed building in the heart of the Culture Quarter. 

Owned by partners Ben and Louise, Wax and Beans was the realisation of a 25-year dream for Ben. We uniquely combine music retail within a coffee shop environment; selling new and used vinyl records and music merchandise alongside coffee and food.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy the space that we have created, whether it be digging for vinyl records, enjoying a coffee, meeting with friends, finishing off your schoolwork or just enjoying the music and atmosphere.  We also welcome doggos to the shop - heck, we love dogs more than humans!  Be prepared to meet our very own fur baby, Luna.

Situated over two floors, our record shop has a turntable for customers to spin any of our pre-loved vinyl through headphones.  All the secondhand vinyl that you can choose to listen to is available to buy... where else do you get to enjoy before you buy!

We also have regular in-store performances, meet-and-greet, signing and Q&A sessions.

If you have a request for a specific item we don't stock, contact us as we can order any new vinyl that is still available, as we have accounts with all of the UK distributors.
